Robot Therapy

Traveling to Brisbane with Marc Fennell, I shot and edited this little piece about technology coming into use with elderly dementia patients. C300.

Uncle Chop Chop

I teamed up with Matt Siegel - Correspondent from the New York Times to travel down to Melbourne for the day to shoot and edit this piece about Mark Brandon 'Chopper' Read.  Despite his developing ill health, he is recording a blues album.

Young Morticians

This is a piece I shot and edited for SBS2's new news show, The Feed.  Producer Pat Abboud and I traveled to Brisbane to talk to the people responsible for making you look good after you die.  This was my first shoot with the newly acquired Canon C300 kit, which was a pleasure to work with.

Wind Turbulence

I shot this story with producer Sam Clark late in 2012 for The Project examining health issues arising from wind turbines, particularly around Macarthur in Western Victoria.

I Am The Amarok

During the past few months I've been shooting clips with Hubink for the Volkswagen Amarok micro-site. Edited by Dave Redman, the clips are now live.  Thanks to Spencer, James & and Olly for their camera assistance for the shoots, which took us to the far reaches of Victoria over a week.

This is the Tarkine

filmed and edited this story about the Tarkine Wilderness Area in Tassies north west with producer Sam Clark, for Rovings 'The Project' on Network Ten.

A to BT-50

Earlier this year I was a contributing cam op to this Grant Day James shoot for Mazda.  A week spent in the Vic high country with a great cast and crew and favorable weather made for a terrific shoot.  Cam of choice for me was the 7D which proved ideal given the amount of time spent clambering in and out of vehicles and up and down tracks. Click the pic below to check out the site and the clips.

I Am Capable

Out at the Werribee 4WD proving ground on a stunning September day to shoot a few scripts for a ute microsite.  Put the vehicles through their paces and got some great shots in the can from the 7D off sticks and crane.  Super impressed yet again by SmallHD monitors, but totally over HDMI.  Especially on the crane with a longer cable that has had a few knocks in the last year, its connection is just so intermittent and usually in the middle of a take.

I Am a Beast Offroad

5 days filming around Victoria for the Volkswagen Amarok microsite.  We shared on camera vehicles and locations with a TVC crew, usually starting to get our shots after they were done.  At this cliff top location the TVC crew had spent hours waiting for a thick fog to clear until they made the call and moved on without their shots.  Lucky for us it cleared just as we were ready to roll. Winning.  Check out the finished products: www.iamarok.com.au

Music Video - Let You Go, Zoophyte

Two days at Rye in April was the setting for this video clip for Zoophyte bands awesome new single 'Let You Go'.  Dry suits, rouge waves and verbal playback when the Bose dock was taken by the sea.  A heap of fun to make.  Can't wait to work with these guys again!

Clown Doctors at RCH, Melbourne.

Early in 2011, what was then called 'The 7PM Project' on Network Ten ran segments known as 'The Power of Good' profiling people and organisations making a positive difference around Australia.  I spent a full day with Producer Jacqueline Tonks out at the Royal Children's shooting this piece covering the work of the talented 'Clown Doctors'.
